About The MIRROR:

The Olathe School District Student Development Department and the Kansas City Star have partnered to produce this publication dedicated to the students of
Olathe.  The newspaper was first produced in the 2004-2005 school year and currently there are five editions produced each year that reach a circulation of approximately 11,000 people.  In addition, The MIRROR is delivered to all school district faculty.

Mission Statement and Goals:

To connect Olathe Youth through local and global issues reflecting mature and intelligent perspectives.
The MIRROR was developed in order to create a journalistic forum for all students to discuss, creatively express, and share their opinions.  Other goals include increasing readership and literacy as well as interest and actively engage students in local, state, national and world current events to promote informed citizenry.
